    This very detailed map covers the eastern part of central Bolton, from Trinity Church eastward to the River Croal, Haigh Hall and the Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal. Other features include Rose Hill Colliery, Bolton Baths, Bradshawgate and the Bolton & Manchester Railway’s Trinity Street station. On the reverse we include 10 foot to the mile sheet 87.13.15 covering the Bridgeman Place area in 1890, together with a 2,000 word introduction to the history of the area.   • Leeds Stations 1847 – 1863 Leeds Large Scale Sheet 14

    This wonderfully detailed map will be of especial interest to transport historians. The River Aire and Leeds & Liverpool Canal run through the map, which also includes major sections of both the Midland and Great Northern Railways. Railway features include Wellington station and approaches, most of Central station and approaches, Midland Railway engine house, all in detail with tracks, signal posts, mile posts etc. Canal information includes Canal Basin and warehouses, The Hol Beck. On roads the toll gates on White Hall Road and Victoria Road are shown. Other features include Monk Bridge Iron Works, Marshall’s Mill, Water Hall Mill, White Hall Works, Britannia Mills, Little Neville Street.     This wonderfully detailed map covers the area of south Leeds around Pottery Field, including portions of Holbeck and Hunslet. Coverage stretches from Meadow Lane eastward to Hunslet Road and Sayner’s Road, and southward to Pearson Street. Features include the North Midland Railway Station, shown in detail, workshops, Goods Depot, Dewsbury & Leeds Turnpike Trust, Leeds & Elland Turnpike Trust, Leeds & Wakefield Turnpike Trust, Middleton Colliery Railway, Leathley Road Pottery, Spanish Leather Works, Railway Foundry, Airedale Foundry, brewery etc. On the reverse we include a directory for Meadow Lane.

    This map covers the centre of Bury in wonderful detail. Features include the East Lancashire Station, Carriage Works, Goods warehouse, St Mary’s church, Congregational Chapel, Unitarian Chapel, River Irwell, Manchester Bolton & Bury Canal, Bridge Mills, Soho Works, Brooksmouth Mill, Irwell House, St Mary’s RC Chapel, New Market Place, Bury & Prestwich Turnpike, etc. The map was surveyed in 1847 but some railway information has been updated to about 1859. Features include St John’s church, Lady Lane Chapel, St James church, Commercial Rooms, St Ann’s RC Chapel, Stock Exchange, Harrisons Almshouses, Free Market, Workhouse, St Peter’s Chapel, most of these showing interior layout.
