London Sheet 104.1New Cross & Deptford Bridge 1871 – published 2003; intro by Alan Godfrey. The three versions of this map show how the area developed across the years, becoming more built up. Features include New Cross, New Cross Gate, Brockley Lane, St John’s, Deptford and Nunhead stations; New Cross railway works; Aske’s Hatcham schools; tramways; Deptford Brewery; Goldsmiths College; Royal Naval School; Hatcham Works.
We have published three versions of this map, showing how the area developed across the years. The map is largely part of Camberwell Borough. As usual in this series, the 1st Edition 1871 map is especially attractive.
The chart is attached to a cloth backing and is in incredible condition – with very minor tears and folds at the corners. Roughly two-thirds of the chart depicts Biblical history, the rest is “modern” history.
