This map is in fairly acceptable condition for its year. There’s wear and discolouration along the folds with 10 small holes along them and one tear near the cover edge, see photo’s 11 to 15. Noticeable marks and blemishes in the sea area, along the white borders and legend.
Good vintage condition for age. Outer cover shows age-related wear, creasing, edge rubbing and small tears as photographed. Interior map condition appears well preserved overall. Handwritten note to reverse adds period character and provenance. Please study all photos carefully as they form part of the description. A great collectible for map collectors, Isle of Man interest, WWII memorabilia, historians or vintage cartography display.
Ordnance Survey One-Inch Map, Sheet 178: Dorchester (1970). This map is in fairly good condition for its year with no highlighting or tears. There’s slight wear along the folds and a small ink stamp and initials written in blue pen on the white border at top left corner, please see photo 5. No other pen or pencil marks can be seen. The cover has surface wear on both sides, along the edges and corners with discolouration on the back and inside edges. Please see photo’s.
