    Africa, Central and Southern, Bartholomew World Travel Map, 1975, c. 102 x 78cm. Folding map. 1 : 5,000,000. Printed and published in Scotland by John Bartholomew & Son Ltd, Edinburgh. Three holes at the folds and a c. 2 inch tear where the map joins the card cover. There are knocks, creases and nicks to the edges and corners. The card covers have creases to the edges and some scuffs and loss to the front. The laminate is rolled slightly at the edges in places. This map is showing its age a little – 50 years old!

This map is in good condition for its year with no pen, pencil or highlighting. There’s slight wear along the folds with a tiny tear on one and 2 small holes on the right side of the white border, please see photo’s 5 and 6. No other tears or holes can be seen. The cover has slight surface wear and creasing on both sides, along the edges and corners. Please see photo’s.

    Africa North-East Bartholomew World Travel Map, 1977, Approx. 191 X 77cm. Scale 1 : 5,000,000 World Travel Map from John Bartholomew & Son Ltd, Edinburgh. The map is a little discoloured at one fold (not particularly noticeable) and has a roughly inch-long tear at the top where the cover adjoins the map itself. Otherwise it’s pretty good. The cover has surface scratches, marks and creases, with knocked edges and corners.

This map is in good condition for its year with no pen, pencil marks or highlighting. There’s slight wear along the folds and a tiny tear at the end of one at the top, please see photo 4. No other tears can be seen. Also there’s faint marks near the top right corner, see photo 5. The cover has slight surface wear slight creasing on both sides, mainly along the edges and corners. There’s a Bartholomew price label attached near the bottom edges of the front cover. Please see photo’s.
