This detailed map covers the coastal town of Barmouth in 1900. Points of interest on the map include St Margarets School, St Tudwals RC Church, Orielton Hall and St Johns Church. Other features include Orielton Wood, Barmouth Bridge, Aber-Amffra Harbour and the Cambrian Railway which travels along the coastline.

The Cambrian Mountains dominate the western half of the map, a plateau dissected by Afon Elan and Afon Claerwen. Rhayader is in the centre of the map, and just SW of it is Elan Village, established for the builders of the Elan reservoir.

The only other town is Tregaron. Coverage stretches from Llanybyther eastward to Pen y Gurnos, and from Tregaron southward to Dolaucothy. On the reverse we include an extract from Cardiganshire Sheet 27.01 and this shows the little town of Tregaron in more detail.
