Harlington & Cranford 1935 Middlesex Sheet 20.01 by Tony Painter

This detailed map covers the centre of Harlington (today in Hillingdon) and extends eastward to the centre of Cranford (today in Hounslow). Features include Harlington Corner, Manor Farm, White Hart pub, Coach & Horses pub, greyhound track, The Elms etc in Harlington; Cranford House, Cranford Park, Cranford Hall, Berkeley Arms Hotel, Springfield, Queen’s Head Inn etc in Cranford. 1935 directories for both villages are included on the reverse.
Stanwell 1934 Middlesex Sheet 19.11 by Tony Painter
With local government reorganisation in the 1960s Stanwell was transferred to Surrey; but in 1934 it was in Middlesex and so forms part of that series in The Godfrey Edition. The map covers the area from Stanwellmoor eastward to Stanwell village. Features include Stanwell Place, St Mary’s church, Longford River, cemetery, part of Staines Reservoir, Hithermoor Farm etc. On the reverse we include directories for Stanwell in 1890 and 1933.
Ruislip 1939 Middlesex Sheet 10.09 by Eileen M Bowlt
This detailed map covers much of Ruislip, a town that developed rapidly in the early 20th century. Coverage stretches from Hill Lane and Heathfield Rise eastward to Myrtle Avenue, and from Evelyn Avenue southward to Westfield Way.

This detailed map covers the western part of Hampton and eastern tip of Sunbury. Features include part of Kempton Park race course, Sunbury Court, The Mark Way, Water Works and reservoirs, Hampton UDC Offices, Thames Valley Line with Hampton station, Grammar School, River Thames. Note that area south of river is blank. A 1933 commercial directory of Hampton is included on the reverse.

This detailed map covers the northern part of Ruislip and part of Eastcote. Coverage stretches from Ruislip Common southward to Ladygate Lane and eastward to Haydon Hall and Eastcote Lodge. Features include High Grove, St Michael’s School, Haydon Hall, Ruislip Common area, Ruislip Reservoir, Park Wood, Bury Street area. On the reverse we include Eastcote directory entries for 1890 and 1933.

This detailed map covers much of the village of Harmondsworth, incl St Mary’s church, Manor Farm, etc. Coverage extends westward to the county boundary and Longfordmoor, Mad Bridge and Egglesee Farm.
North Harrow & Headstone 1935 Middlesex Sheet 10.07 by Pamela Taylor
This detailed map covers the northern part of Harrow, with coverage stretching from Lincoln Road eastward to Torver Road, and from Vaughan Road northward to Victor Road. Features on the map, covering a largely residential area, include the Kodak Works (at top of map), stretch of the Metropolitan line incl North Harrow station, cemetery, Headstone area, Headstone Hotel, Pinner Court, St George’s church, etc.
Park Royal & Hanger Hill 1895 or 1935 Middlesex Sheet 16.05
Features include Hanger Hill and a handful of large houses along Hanger Lane, the Grand Junction Water Works, Twyford Abbey, and several farms. By contrast, the 1935 version is filled with industry, including the western half of the Park Royal estate.
North Greenford 1938 Middlesex Sheet 15.03 by Frances Hounsell
Lyons confectionery works is in the centre of the map and other features include Greenford and Northolt stations, Oldfield Farm, Grand Union Canal, Aladdin Building, Laboratories, St Mary’s church Northolt, Load of Hay pub, Porcelain Baths Works, etc.
